In 2007 it cost just over £2.4 million to run St Luke's.
The overwhelming majority of this money - 75% - was spent on Patients and Patient Care. Only 3% was spent on Administration. This reflects in a very real way the St Luke's philosophy that the patients come first.
70% of the money to keep St Luke's running has to be raised from the public in one form or another. This is why what YOU do is so important to us. Your sponsored events help us care for our patients, as does your participation in our Lottery. Of the remaining money needed, 25% comes from the Primary Care Trust and Cancer Network, and 5% from Investment Income.
The costs for 2008 are expected to be over £2.4 million.
Would YOU like to help St Luke's continue the caring? There are a number of ways to do this.

- Join one of the 10 local St Luke's Support Groups - they do a wonderful job and raise over £100,000 for us every year!
- Have a Little House in your big house to collect your spare change and help run St Luke's. Di Eeley in our Fundraising Team can provide you with one. She can be reached at 01606 555697.
