How volunteers contribute to the Hospice
Since the Hospice was founded in 1988, volunteers have been a vital part of the team, giving their time and commitment to offer the highest standards of care to patients, families and friends. Every week, volunteers freely contribute hundreds of hours of their time.
Who are St Luke's volunteers?
We have a large team of dedicated individuals who come from all sections of the community and bring a wealth of skills and experience. Their ages range from 16 to 75+. Volunteers choose how much time they are willing to commit - a reliable commitment is more important than the amount of time. They contribute in many different ways to the daily running of the hospice. No previous experience is required and training will be provided when necessary.
