Caretakers at Weaver Vale Housing Trust work to improve the appearance of Trust Neighbourhoods and have collected scrap metal from fly-tipped waste and derelict play equipment around Northwich, Winsford and Frodsham.

More than 500kg of mixed steel was collected over a period of 18 months, which was recently traded in for cash, raising £70 for St Luke’s.

Martin Seed, the Advanced Modern Apprentice in the Trust’s Environment Team, said:

“We are delighted that we have been able to turn waste metal into cash to donate to such a great cause, while also helping to tidy up some of our neighbourhoods.”

Our thanks to Weaver Vale Housing Trust who have adopted us as their charity of the year!
