Our thanks to David Wilson Homes North West who have recently raised £260 for St Luke’s at the Nantwich Food Festival . Visitors to the culinary event were offered the chance to enter into a prize draw for a hamper full of luxury local produce in exchange for a donation and to pick up a free seed packet.
The seed packets form part of David Wilson Homes’ three-year campaign to support the local bee population and contained wild flower seeds to encourage people to plant ‘bee friendly’ gardens at home. Steve Jackson, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes North West, said:
“We are delighted to have been able to support St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice through our presence at the Nantwich Food Festival. As the event is so popular in the local area, it was the perfect opportunity for us to get involved with the community in which we are currently building at Stapeley Gardens.”
Martha Hine, our President’s Appeal Co-Ordinator said
“We would like to thank David Wilson Homes for its support and donation towards our President’s Appeal. St. Luke’s is at the forefront of the hospice movement in building a sustainable model to provide end of life care for the frail and elderly in our community. We have launched an appeal to raise funds required to complete the building of a new ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the provision of training, education and research for end of life care in both our community and nationally. We look forward to working with David Wilson Homes further in the coming months.”
