Today sees the launch of our ‘Pack a bag for us this summer’ campaign.

Whilst you’re packing a bag for your holidays or having a bit of a summer sort out, why not pack a bag for St Luke’s and help in our summer donations campaign?

There’s something in it for you too. If you donate to our shops, the Frock Stop or warehouse in August, you will receive a voucher for a free tea/coffee and cake at one of our hospice coffee shops in Winsford, Hartford or Nantwich (Swirly Whirlys).

The hospice shops are in desperate need of good quality donations and furniture.

Steven Holmes, Head of Retail said “Our hospice shops have become very much part of their communities. The donated items help to raise money for patient care and every item that is donated locally raises money that is spent locally. Our shops have been so popular lately that we now have a donation shortfall.”

“To thank local people for continuing to support the hospice, we want to give something back to everyone who donates to the shops and our warehouse. So when you are having a clear out in August, bring your donations to one of our shops or collection points and we will give you a voucher so that you can have a tea/coffee and cake on us.”

“We are very proud of coffee our shops, all of which provide good quality customer service and freshly prepared food and drinks. So whilst you enjoy your drink and food, you can have the peace of mind that every item donated and purchased in the hospice shops has raised money for patient care.”

The hospice shops are located in Alsager, Hartford, Middlewich, Nantwich (Swirly Whirlys), Northwich, Sandbach, Winsford (Delamere Street) and Winsford shopping precinct. You can also donate to our  furniture warehouse located on Road One Industrial Estate in Winsford.

The Frock Stop (the shop based on the St Luke’s red Routemaster London bus) can also receive donations on Tuesdays (behind Tarporley Community Centre), on Thursdays (Nantwich Market) and on Fridays at the All in One Garden Centre at Allostock.

We have also managed to secure one off collection points as follows (look out for St Luke’s red bus):

  • Wednesday 13 August in Crewe Town Centre (outside M&S)
  • Wednesday 27 August (outside Asda in Winsford).
