12 September saw lucky lady Mel Dunn win the top prize in St Luke’s summer draw, a brand new Ford Fiesta Zetec. Mel was quite taken aback to receive the call telling her that she had won.
“I buy the tickets every time they come out with St Luke’s newsletter. The hospice is close to my heart. I have a background in nursing and social work and know how important the work of the hospice is to patients and family members. My mum received care from the Hospice just over 23 years ago. It made a big difference to her quality of life and gave my family and I valued support at our time of need. It is because of this that I volunteered for a number of years as a counsellor as part of the family support team at St Luke’s.
My children aged 17 and 20 are the most excited about winning as they will both benefit in some way from having a new car”.
Chris Winward, Director of Cliff Dickenson said “It’s lovely to meet the winner of the car. Cliff Dickenson & Son are very proud to continue to be associated with St Luke’s. We are a local business in Winsford and take pride in providing great service and quality care; the same can be said for St Luke’s.”
Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket for the Superdraw, every ticket bought really does make a difference to patient care.
