Rosie’s smile lights up the room and looking at the photo of her mum, you can see that she has inherited quite a bit of the same mischief. This is why she is supporting our Light up a Life appeal this year:
“St Luke’s is a very special place to our family. Mum was in the hospice two years ago. On 27 December 2012, she sadly lost her 14 year battle with breast cancer. Although she passed away at home, the support and care that St Luke’s gave to both mum and the whole family was just amazing. I was doing my A levels at the time. Going to visit my mum at conventional ‘visiting hours’ like in a hospital was difficult; St Luke’s enabled me to spend all of the time that I wanted and needed with my mum. Our whole family felt that the staff were just spectacular in every way, and without a doubt, they made my mum feel more comfortable.
Our family are honoured to be supporting this year’s Light up a Life appeal. The generosity and comfort that you showed towards mum and our family was exceptional. Thank you St Luke’s; you gave us time with mum that was so precious to us all.
Please help St Luke’s with this year’s appeal so that other families like ours will continue to benefit from the wonderful care and support of the hospice.” Rosie L
