Alsager’s Can’t Sing Choir hosted a concert last night and raised £715 for St Luke’s in memory of their friend Hazell Jackson, who was a member of the choir but sadly passed away at St Luke’s in early 2014.
Barbara Plunkett, committee member said “Hazell was everybody’s friend, she was always cheerful and full of fun. St Luke’s cared for her during her illness and she had her final days at St Luke’s, receiving wonderful care from the staff”
The Alsager Can’t Sing Choir gives people who aren’t confident in their own singing ability, but who love to sing, the chance to perform a varied programme of pop, classical and show music.
Mark Porter, Corporate and Community said, “We’d like to say a big thank you to Alsager’s Can’t Sing Choir for raising such a fantastic amount in memory of Hazell. The money raised will help fund vital support and services for our patients.”
