We’d like to say thank you to Knitters of Knutsford also known as Knitsford group, for creating this beautiful handmade coin purse and inside included a donation of £67. Contributed by all the members who supported the St Luke’s Christmas card boycott!
As you can see it took centre stage on our office Christmas tree.
Knitsford group started in 2006 with one gathering per week, but as popularity grew for crafting the gatherings expanded to three evenings every week.
Knitter and creators meet on Tuesdays in the Knutsford Wine Bar, Thursday evenings in the White Bear pub in Knutsford and Fridays at Plantation Garden Centre on Plumley Moor Road.
All the members knit and/or crochet and many of them have in recent years become involved in dressmaking, sewing, patchwork and quilting. Their knitting and crocheting create a wide range of accessories like hats, scarves and gloves, garments, blankets, cushions, toys, wedding shawls, you name it.
Well done and thank you.
