Congratulations to St Luke’s ‘Name the Christmas Bear’ competition winner, Millie Moreton aged 5 from Alsager.
Millie is now the proud owner of ‘Fluffy the Bear’ and a £45 Swirly Whirlys voucher for her family.
Children from across Alsager were invited to take part in St Luke’s Children’s shop ‘Name the Christmas Bear’ competition. In order to enter the ‘Name the Christmas Bear’ competition children submitted suggested names for the lonely bear by filling out a gift tag in store. The submitted names were displayed on a Christmas tree at the front of the shop.
Millie Moreton, a pupil at Cranberry Academy, said she chose the name ‘Fluffy the Bear’ because “he looked lovely and soft, just like a fluffy bear.”
Mark Porter, Corporate and Community Fundraiser presented Millie with her prize, said “We are thrilled that our lonely bear has now found a new home and I’m sure Millie will take good care of Fluffy the Bear. It’s great to see our customers get involved with activates at our shops.”
Nicky Moreton, “We are over the moon Millie has won the ‘Name the Christmas Bear’ competition but also receiving a lunch at Swirly Whirlys in Nantwich. We’ve never been to Swirly Whirlys so we can’t wait to go for a day out.”
