Wendy Field (St Luke’s matron)  joined some of the Midnight Walk ladies for a photo shoot, as she too is doing the Midnight Walk for St Luke’s this year.

Our Midnight Walk is St Luke’s biggest fundraising event and more ladies are needed to be part of the best night of the year. Taking place on Saturday 27 June, walkers have a wonderful evening of entertainment by Redshift Radio and then set off on route through Nantwich and Crewe. Walkers take part for fun, as a challenge, or to remember a loved one. Whatever the reason, ladies are guaranteed to have a night to remember. Ladies can choose on the night whether to walk 6.5 miles or 13.1 miles.

Wendy Field said “I want to take part so that I can meet and support some of the amazing women who have worked hard to raise money for St Luke’s. I know there are women who have taken part every year and although it’s a ‘women only’ event I’ve seen how families, friends and work colleagues come together to offer support.

There’s a real community spirit from sponsorship to training, help on the night and the walk itself. Working at St Luke’s it’s a privilege to be part of people’ lives and such a caring community. This is the year of sport at the hospice and everyone seems to be doing something from jogging to the biggest loser! This is my chance to join them.”
