Our furniture warehouse has moved, but don’t panic, the new (and much bigger) warehouse has moved next door to Unit 8 on Pineapple Park in Winsford. The success of our warehouse during the last 18 months has meant that St Luke’s has taken on a bigger space to enable us to stock more furniture for customers of mid and south Cheshire.

The official opening of the warehouse took place on Monday 1 June (the start of national hospice month known as ‘Go Yellow’). As part of the warehouse’s launch for national hospice month, they are taking part in ‘bid yellow’ where customers can make St Luke’s an offer for items with the yellow sticker on them.

Antoinette Sandbach MP and Graham Evans MP jointly ‘cut the yellow ribbon’ to welcome customers and declare the new warehouse as open for sales.

Steven Holmes, Head of Retail said: “The St Luke’s team of staff and volunteers have worked extremely hard to make the move a success. We are thrilled to be able to offer customers a bigger choice of furniture and home items. Landlords could easily furnish their rented accommodation for a fraction of the price if they went elsewhere. Similarly, customers can pick up a ‘new to them’ sofa, dining furniture set or bedroom items for bargain prices to either use or upcycle. We’ve seen some fantastic items of brown furniture that customers have bought and upcycled with chalk paint”

Eddisbury MP Antoinette Sandbach said:
“I am delighted with the new warehouse for St Luke’s and I hope that people will take the chance to visit during “Go yellow” month which I hope will mean that St Luke’s will get the vital funds its needs to help it deliver its first class care to those that need the important help it gives to so many local people”
Weaver Vale MP, Graham Evans said
“It was a real pleasure to join my colleague Antoinette and the team to open St Luke’s new furniture Warehouse – and they, very bravely, let me drive the bus! St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice provides simply outstanding care to patients with Cancer and other life threatening illnesses. And if you have a moment I would highly recommend popping down to see their new warehouse on Pineapple Park, Winsford and to check out the range of furniture on show – safe in the knowledge that the money raised goes to an absolutely fantastic cause.
