Kay Murfin has completed 14 days of cycling, a total of 900 miles from Caen in Normandie all the way down to Nice on the Mediterranean Sea, and that included the ascent of Mont Ventoux and also the climb through the Verdon River gorges.
Kay said “The scenery was completely stunning from start to finish, my bike was completely reliable, no mechanical problems and not even a single puncture, and my legs felt pretty good too!! It was just a wonderful experience, and a journey I’ll never forget. This completes my third charity cycle ride for St Luke’s and Macmillan:
2013 – Coast2Coast across England
2014 – Land’s End to John O’Groats
2015 – Channel to the Med, across France”
Kay’s Virgin Money Giving page is up to £610 (£752.50 with gift aid) which is split between St Luke’s and also Macmillan Cancer Support. You can still donate Here
Mark Porter Corporate & Community Fundraiser said “Firstly well done to Kay this is an absolutely tremendous achievement cycling 900 miles across France. I know everyone here at St Luke’s is so grateful for the money raised for the Hospice and we all want to thank Kay for this and for choosing St Luke’s. I asked Kay how she had gone on and in her words” “The question is…what do I do for 2016?!!!”
Thank you Kay from us all at St Luke’s
