On the 19th July 23 walkers took part in St Luke’s first Snowdon Memorial Trek earlier this month. Walkers made their way up the Llanberis Path towards the top of the mountain where a remembrance service took place led by Chaplain
Rick Gates. Overall the walk has raised £7,000 in sponsorship for the Hospice.
Rick said, “It was a very emotional and inspirational experience for many who took part, conducting the service in such beautiful surroundings offered a peaceful setting for those remembering loved ones. ”
Mark Porter Corporate and Community Fundraiser said “I would like to thank everyone who walked Snowdon; the volunteers, all the individuals who donated and Poole Alcock who supported the event. I walked in memory of my Mum, I found the experience very humbling and moving.”
