Oliver Sherard-Bornshin aged eight from Winsford made a sweet gesture to his dad Vincent, he promised to raise £10 for his local Hospice in honour of his grandfather Chris Bornshin who passed away in March.

Cub Scout Oliver wanted to see his father happy again and pledge to raise £10 for his local Hospice. Touched by Oliver’s selflessness, Vincent vowed to help his son raise £1,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.

Oliver said to his father, “Well daddy, your daddy died this year and I know that this made you really sad. I know this Hospice help people that are poorly and I thought that if I help them, then this might make you happy. I want you to be happy again, I don’t like seeing you sad.”

Vincent said, “Oliver is such an amazing young man, as a parent I am simply blown away.”

Angela Slack Corporate and Community Fundraiser said, “Oliver is a very generous young boy and we are so grateful that he has chosen to raise money for our Hospice. St Luke’s needs to raise £8,600 a day to run vital care and services for people in mid and south Cheshire.”
