After three glorious years of beard growing, Ian Rawlinson from Alsager recently decided to embrace the razor in aid of St Luke’s.

Ian, whose beard found fame two years ago on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, decided to support St Luke’s after his mum stayed at the Hospice 12 years ago.

He said, “She had super treatment and I always wanted to give something back. I never knew what I could do, but then a relative put the idea in my head, and here we are!”

Macs Barbers in Alsager kindly donated their time to tackle the beard, with a little help from Ian’s wife. Incredibly, Ian managed to raise £750 from the shave which will go towards providing other local people with the same care that his mum was given.
