St Luke’s is urging local residents to put their pens to great work this October by getting their Wills in order whilst making a real difference to the community.
Will Week which runs from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th October, is an opportunity for local people to visit a solicitor in their area who will assist in the writing of their Will in exchange for a donation to St Luke’s Hospice.
Jane from Northwich, who recently made a Will said, “It gives me peace of mind that my family will be secure if I’m no longer here for them”.
Amy Magee, Campaign and Donor Support Manager at St Luke’s said it’s a great way to fundraise for St Luke’s and raise awareness of the importance of making a Will and to.
“We are delighted to have the support of so many local solicitors who are waiving their fees to assist people in the community write their Will. It isn’t something we naturally think of organising ourselves, but writing a Will can give us the assurance that the future of our loved ones is secure and in changing circumstances, could offer some peace of mind during a difficult time” she said.
To take part in Will Week simply visit St Luke’s website for a list of participating solicitors and book your appointment. We advise booking your appointment before the week commencing Monday 3rd October to avoid disappointment and ensure a time and day convenient to you.
