St Luke’s Hospice would like to say a huge thank you to ID Glass and Glazing in Northwich who have replaced our old wooden windows and doors at the rear of the Hospice with uPVC.
They made the extraordinary gesture after the Managing Director’s father sadly passed away in the Hospice in August last year after suffering from cancer.
ID Glass and Glazing have previously raised funds for St Luke’s after holding a charity fishing event and wanted to do something which would be long-lasting benefit to the Hospice.
Michael Rathbone, grandson and Sales and Marketing Executive for the company, said the idea of giving something back to the Hospice where his grandfather was so well cared for in his final days was hugely important.
“The care he received during his short time there was impeccable. It was very peaceful and he had his own personal space; I remember us watching the Formula 1 together in his room and savouring those special final moments together which meant so much to our family.”
Chief Executive Officer for the Hospice, Andrea Ladeira commented: “It is an enormous gesture which St Luke’s will be eternally grateful for and the impact of their generosity will benefit patients for many years to come.”
We wanted to show our appreciation for everything St Luke’s did for my grandad and this is the only way we knew how.
– Michael Rathbone – Grandson and Sales and Marketing Executive at ID Glass and Glazing
Everyone at St Luke’s is extremely appreciative of the kind gesture – thank you.
