In 2015 Fat Face took the decision not to take part in the discounting phenomenon ‘Black Friday.’ As an alternative, the company decided to make a statement against the discounting epidemic by creating a bold campaign called ‘Thanks for Giving.’
This was about donating rather than discounting and as a result, customers made a significant impact to local charities, raising over £200,000 nationally.
Passionate about building on last year’s success, staff at the store on the High Street in Nantwich ran the campaign again in 2016 and also asked staff to go the extra mile in raising additional funds through a Snowdon trek. In total, they raised over £873.00 for St Luke’s Hospice.
“We are delighted to have helped the Hospice again this year. We have quite a few customers who visit the store that have been touched by St Luke’s so it’s a charity close to a lot of people in the community.”

St Luke’s Partnerships Manager Steven Cook commented: “We’d like to say a huge thank you from everyone at St Luke’s. It’s been a very challenging year and these types of initiatives really help us to continue our care services.”
