Finishing school is always a mixture of emotions; sad to be leaving friends but excited to be moving on to ventures new. But the end of school prom is the time to get dressed up and celebrate everything you have achieved.
Amy Jones from Winsford had a very special dress for her prom to mark the significant occasion. She looked beautiful in red sparkles and this thoughtful young lady has very kindly decided she’d like to help another girl feel as amazing as she did by giving her dress away.
Amy said: “I know there is a lot of pressure on people to get expensive dresses and I felt it would be such a waste leaving it hanging up and want to give another girl a chance to enjoy it!”
All Amy asked for in return is a donation to St Luke’s Hospice.
“The Hospice is close to my heart and the work they do is amazing. Also being from Winsford, I think it’s important to support local charities.”
We’re delighted to say that Amy sold the beautiful dress for £70 which she recently donated to the Hospice – thank you for such a thoughtful gesture, Amy.
