We were overwhelmed this week when the Crewe-based manufacturer, Custom Powders, very kindly donated £10,000 to St Luke’s.
The firm has been operating in the South Cheshire region since 1979, and specialise in contract powder and granule processing services. When our Corporate Partnerships Manager, Steven Cook, recently approached the company for some support towards the Hospice, Managing Director Peter Coyler pledged the incredible amount towards patient care.
Peter said: “We have tried to support various causes over the years but in all honesty, we’ve never really known where the money has been going or what it’s been spent on so we wanted to support a local cause. My wife and I have volunteered as stewards at the Midnight Walk on a number of occasions so it’s a charity I was happy to give more to.”
Steven Cook added: “It’s an amazing gesture and we are sincerely grateful for the assistance. As a thank you, we invited Peter and Dave Cadman over to the Hospice to meet our staff and the nurses and have a tour of the building. They loved it and were impressed with the additional services that we provide.”
