Avid cyclist, Chris Winward, will take on a London to Paris bike ride for St Luke’s this summer.

Chris, Managing Director at local Ford Dealership Cliff Dickenson & Son, has had an association with the Hospice for many years. Most recently the business has sponsored our Bubble Rush and Grand Raffle 2017.

The long road ahead

He plans to tackle the challenge with his daughter Sarah, who will also be fundraising for a cancer charity.  The pair will take on over 500km of roads between both capital cities and hope to raise in excess of £2,000.

Joining over 350 other riders, the event takes place on Thursday 20th to Saturday 23rd July. It will be the first time the duo have ridden together for charity.

Chris said: “We’ve built up a great relationship with St Luke’s and have become more actively involved this year.  We are both fans of cycling so it’s a great opportunity to do something we love that can benefit the cause.”

Commenting on behalf of St Luke’s, Corporate Partnership Manager Steven Cook added: “Chris’s support has been unwavering throughout the years. Following a difficult year financially for the Hospice, Cliff Dickenson & Son have literally gone the extra mile to help us.”
