A team from Ecolab in Northwich recently took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge for St Luke’s Hospice, raising an incredible £2623.80 in sponsorship.
The company was keen to support the Hospice having had a member of staff receive treatment in our Day Hospice.
Steve Hulse, Manager at the Weavergate plant said: “Members of my team have experienced first-hand the good work that St Luke’s do; it felt only right to help give something back.
Although it was a big challenge, our trekkers really enjoyed the experience of the 3 Peaks and we are really pleased with the amount of money raised.”
As part of their challenge, the group took on Peaks, Pen y Ghent, Wernside and Ingleborough, scaling a total of 2142m in ascent.
Local corporate fundraising
St Luke’s is delighted to have seen an influx in staff participation challenges over the summer months helping to boost our funds.
Corporate Partnerships Manager, Steven Cook, added: “Fundraising activities for staff are a great way for people to socialise outside of the workplace as well as giving people the chance to get to know one another. The team at Ecolab had a great time and raised a serious amount of money for the Hospice which we’re so grateful for.”
Thank you, Ecolab and to everyone who sponsored the team!
