Your mission this new year – should you choose to accept it – is to lose pounds in our new health and fitness challenge, Mission SlimPossible, while at the same time gaining pounds for St Luke’s coffers.
The hospice is looking for people to take part in its new Mission SlimPossible fundraising challenge.
The 12-week programme requires participants to commit to improve their health, increase their fitness levels and achieve their weight-loss goals. Guidance throughout will be provided by Nutritional Therapist Naomi Langford-Archer.
In return, St Luke’s is asking each slimmer to raise £325 for the hospice.
Catherine Moore, Event Fundraiser at St Luke’s said: “As part of the 12-week Mission SlimPossible challenge we have a whole host of fitness activities planned to suit both men and women. Together with the support from Nutritional Therapist Naomi, and moral support from fellow participants, it promises to be a lot of fun. However, it’ll also take hard work, willpower and determination to succeed.
“We hope that signing up to raise money for the hospice will give participants an added incentive, knowing that by achieving their goals they are also helping to provide care for patients and their families at St Luke’s.”
Naomi Langford-Archer, who prides herself on offering optimal health and happiness to everyone, added: “I will be there to guide you on your 12 week weight loss journey, providing healthy alternatives and one to one support.”
Mission SlimPossible will culminate in a celebration event and prizes will be awarded to the person who has lost the most weight and to the person who has raised the most money.
St Luke’s will be hosting a Mission SlimPossible information evening on Thursday 11 January at the hospice where you will be able to find out more information about the planned activities, pick up an application form and meet other possible participants.
The first meeting and weigh-in will be held on Tuesday 23 January.
