We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Christmas Tree Collection Service.
A staggering 2,343 Christmas trees were collected and recycled, raising more than £25,000 in donations for St Luke’s.
Jane Thompson, Head of Event Management, said: “We have once again been overwhelmed by the community’s generosity. The Christmas Tree Collection Service is one of our biggest sources of income and really kick starts a new year of fundraising at St Luke’s.
“Obviously it would not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and friends who worked tirelessly over four days to collect and recycle all the trees. We could not raise this much-needed income without them.”
It is only made possible thanks to a large team of volunteers from the Sandbach Rotary and Middlewich Round Table, Holmes Chapel and Goostrey Scouts, SP Energy and Melody Corporation. We also received fantastic support from Reaseheath College, East Cheshire Council, ANSA, Girl Guiding Cheshire Forest Pettypool and Gerry Heath in Brereton along with many others.
A number of small local charities will also benefit from the Christmas Tree Collection Service.
