We are thrilled to announce that Richmond Village in Nantwich has pledged their commitment to support St Luke’s throughout our 30th anniversary year.
A series of events are planned over the coming months and if last week’s Afternoon Tea held at the Village is anything to go by they are sure to prove extremely successful as a total of £891.72 was raised!
The Afternoon Tea which took place on Friday 26th January, was the first event of the year and attracted over 60 people; for just £10 a ticket guests enjoyed delicious sandwiches and individually made cakes in the beautiful Garden Room Restaurant.
A raffle was also held with prizes including a sumptuous hamper donated by Sainsbury’s in Nantwich and Sunday Lunch for 4 donated by Rookery Hall, both of whom are well known for their support of local charitable causes.
“We are delighted to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice this year especially as it is their 30th birthday. Many people at Richmond Nantwich both staff and residents have been involved with St Luke’s and we are proud to be involved with this fantastic local charity.” – Nicola Jackson, Senior Village Adviser
The Afternoon Tea event was lovely and really successful; we are delighted that everyone enjoyed themselves, in fact, it was so popular that Richmond Village are going to ensure the next event is ticket only!
Angela Slack, our Community Partnerships Manager added: “It really was a lovely afternoon; we received lovely comments from lots of the guests and would like Richmond Village for all of their efforts and for pledging their support for what is an exciting year ahead for the Hospice.”
The next event planned is a Birthday Bubbles & Bingo night on Friday 16th February.
