Reaseheath College, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 6DF 30/06/2018 - 01/07/2018 9:00 pm - 6:00 am
Each year hundreds of women come together to do something remarkable; they walk together and raise money for other women who are receiving care at St Luke’s.
We believe that an act of kindness can change someone’s life, we believe we are all capable of amazing things, we believe in the power of women. Powerful women are all around, in fact one of them is reading this right now.
Please join us and walk 6 or 13 miles alongside so many other women who are committed to making a difference. Your walk will help someone straight away, even though you know they can’t help you back.
About the Midnight Walk
The Midnight Walk is a 6 mile (half-moon) or 13 mile (full moon) challenge through the streets of Crewe and Nantwich. With the base at Reaseheath College, you will begin and end your Midnight Walk journey in beautiful surroundings alongside women from all across Cheshire and even further afield – this year we have people travelling from London and even Germany to take part!
Whether you are a seasoned Walker or taking part for the first time, the Midnight Walk is empowering, inspiring and an unforgettable way to raise money for St Luke’s. Whether you are remembering a loved one or walking for the women being cared for today, every Walker will make a difference.
This year our fundraising target this year is £175,000 which would fund an incredible 1,167 nurses shifts on the Inpatient Unit. Each shift costs £149.04 and each hour of nursing care £31.04, so when you walk and raise money you help us move one step closer to this target.
Registering to take part
There are two different ways you can be part of the Midnight Walk; we hope that this choice will enable you to choose the best option for you.
Walk and raise money, £20
Your £20 entry includes access to the Walk, entertainment, an 80’s themed Midnight Walk t-shirt, security along the route, plus the best brew and bacon butty you’ll ever taste when you cross the finish line! We encourage you to pick up your t-shirt from the Hospice but we know that isn’t always possible, so there is also a £23 entry which means we can post it out to you.
Raising money through sponsorship is really easy thanks to online platforms like JustGiving. You could set your target to fund one or a number of nurses shifts so your friends know exactly how their support will make a difference.
Walk and donate, £51.04
We know that raising sponsorship isn’t for everyone so our second entry option gives you full access to the event and includes a donation of £31.04 which will be used to fund an hour of nursing care.
Again we know that picking up your t-shirt from the Hospice can be difficult so for £54.04 we will post it our to you.
If you are wondering where the 6 and 13 mile challenge will take you, here is a map of the route.
