We’re setting you the challenge of raising £30 in 30 days to help St Luke’s celebrate its 30th anniversary. Every pound raised will help towards continuing the vital services which St Luke’s has been providing the communities of mid and south Cheshire for the last three decades!
To get you started here are 30 fun and fabulous fundraising ideas….
Let’s start you off gently with this simple challenge. Save up your 20ps in Smarties tubes over 30 days. You only need to fill up three tubes to hit your £30 target! And the added bonus is you get to eat the Smarties!
It’s Cake O’Clock
Bake three yummy cakes, divide them into 10 slices and sell each slice to your family, friends or work colleagues for £1. Alternatively divide them into 11 slices and enjoy a sneaky slice (or 3!) of cake and a cuppa as a reward for all your hard work!
Let’s Get Quizzical
Channel your inner Quiz Master! From sports to history, films to music, geography to general knowledge. Fire questions at your friends or work colleagues to determine who is the brainiest and get them to pay for the privilege!
Could you give up your morning cup? Instead of buying a daily caffeine fix, why not save what you’d spend each day on coffee for 30 days and donate the money to St Luke’s.
Keep a Swear Jar
An oldie but a goodie! Get your colleagues to donate £1 every time they slip up over 30 days. If your colleagues swear a lot, reduce the pledge to 20p to make it a laugh. You could raise loads in no time!
Get sponsored £30 to dye or shave your hair. If you’re feeling brave, you could even have your legs or chest waxed. Ouch!
Ditch your boring cereal and host a breakfast club in the office. Tempt workmates with the smell of tasty bacon sandwiches or croissants and coffee and ask them to donate money to St Luke’s in return. You’ll get £30 in no time!
Walk, Cycle or Run to Work
Save your train or bus fare, petrol or parking costs for a week by getting to work under your own steam. If your commute normally costs you £6 a day, you could save £30 by the end of the week. Plus you keep fit – no need to go to the gym that week!
Dress Up or Dress Down
Get your boss to agree to a dress down day in the office. Everyone donates £1 to dress casual or go all out. Those who don’t, pay a fine of £2!
Give Up Sweets
Got a sweet tooth? Test your willpower by giving up sweets or chocolate for 30 days and get sponsored.
Say YES to a demand a day for 30 days! Find friends or work colleagues that will pay you £1 for every YES demand you do over the 30 day challenge.

Grab a bucket and sponge and raise £30 by washing cars. Ask your neighbours or wash your work colleagues’ cars in your lunch hour. Charge £6 and clean five cars to hit your target!
Are you a bit of a Jamie Oliver in the kitchen? Why not invite six friends round for dinner and charge each of them £5 for dining on your culinary delights! Why not all take a turn and multiply the money by 7!
Cheese and Wine at Mine
You don’t have to be a Masterchef for this one! Just buy a bit of cheese and wine and invite friends – what more could you need! You could even add a sweepstake on the night with a dry cracker eating competition!
Sell a Service
Ask for donations in exchange for your time – make teas, mow lawns, charge friends for being their taxi service on a night out. You could easily raise £30 in one day or night!
Now we’re talking! Invite the girls over for mudpacks, manicures and make up (and make sure the Prosecco is chilled!) Offer treatments in return for £5 donations.
Clear out your wardrobe and pile up the clothes for a jumble sale at work or school. Sell 30 pieces of clothing, each for £1.

How long could you go without talking? This could be the ideal challenge for an office chatterbox. Get sponsored £30 to zip it for the day.
Who’s the Baby?
This one is classic. Collect some baby photos from your work mates and charge £1 for them to guess who the baby is.
Break a World Record

If you’re the boss, this one’s for you! Is there someone willing to donate £30 to throw a pie in your face? Or 30 people eager to do this for £1?! You could be fighting them off!
Bring a Dog to Work Day
Hold a ‘bring your dog to work’ day and pay people for the privilege. Ask work friends to pay extra for cuddles and play time.
Looking for something to keep the kids entertained on a rainy afternoon? Why not get creative and make 30 different greeting cards. Sell each card for £1 to friends and family.
