Back in November, we asked companies across the region to take up the £50 Accumulator Challenge in aid of St Luke’s.

Throwing down the gauntlet, each firm were given £50 in cash and 3 months to turn this into the largest profit possible.  Over the winter period we’ve seen some fantastic fundraising ideas, with initiatives ranging from head shaving and car auctions to cake sales and bucket collections.

Speaking to the teams individually, it’s been great to hear some of the positive feedback such a challenge has brought to their staff.  Some chose to use the concept as a means of engaging with a large workforce, whilst others used it to create a competitive environment internally.

Whatever the reason for getting involved, each company can be proud to say they contributed to an overall total of £11,754 for the hospice, which is a fantastic achievement.

Well done everyone and thank you to all the teams for taking part.
