The company, with sites in Northwich and Middlewich currently take on 1 large challenge a year, as well as many smaller events.  Last year the chemicals manufacturer completed the 34 mile Sandstone trail, after completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in 2015, raising £15,000 in the process.

Communications Manager Richard Redman said, ‘Every year we try to push ourselves to the limit in the name of St Luke’s, and this year is no exception.  In recent years we have proudly faced the elements, dealt with injuries and struggled across finishing lines.  We may bring ourselves to exhaustion and take on new challenges, but this is nothing compared to the vital work that goes on behind the scenes at the hospice.’

Essential Cuisine

Based in Winsford the ‘Stock People’ are a British food supplier specialising in stocks, gravies and sauces for the catering industry.  The team of 60 have been avid supporters of the hospice for a number of years and recently raised over £7,300 for us when a 20 strong team climbed Mount Snowdon last summer.

The firm have often transferred their creative flare for food into hospice fundraising, taking part in many of our initiatives.  Heather Wilde, Sales Operations Manager comments, ‘We really enjoy supporting a number of charitable causes both locally and within our own sector.  St Luke’s are an organisation close to many peoples heart and we recognise the invaluable work they do within the community.’

Throughout their 7 offices in the region staff have taken part in activities such as The Annual Snowdon Walk, dress down days and cake sales, raising valuable funds.  Sarah Jennings, Pa to the executive team said, ‘taking part in St Luke’s initiative’s always brings fun and enjoyment into the office.  We are lucky to have such a close team, who enjoy the bonding aspect such activities bring.’
