Calling all knitters! We’re looking for knitters from all over Cheshire to join our Knit-a-Chick campaign for St Luke’s.

Last year, hundreds of little woolly chicks flocked to St Luke’s Hospice; they were kindly knitted by our crafty supporters and came in all colours, shapes and sizes and we’d love to exceed last year’s amount raised of £1,500 – can you put your knitting needles to work and help us make knitted friends for Easter?

Chicks are filled with a donated chocolate egg each and sold for a suggested donation of £1 in schools, shops and businesses all over Mid and South Cheshire to raise funds for the Hospice.

How you can help

  1. We would love you to put your needles to work and knit up as many little chicks as you can to donate to the Hospice. Chicks can be as colourful as you choose; the quirkier, the better! We also have a couple of patterns you can follow.
  2. We also need donations of chocolate eggs to be paired with a knitted animal (e.g. Creme Eggs, Caramel eggs) and sold to raise money for St Luke’s!
  3. You may know the perfect place to sell our knitted friends – whether it’s in your workplace, in the school reception or in a shop, we can provide you with a display basket and collection box.
