Love St Luke’s this Valentine’s Day and wear red for our nurses

Please support St Luke’s this Valentine’s Day and wear red to school or work to raise money for your local Hospice.

Every £1 donation you raise will pay for one of our nurses to care for a patient here at the Hospice for a whole two minutes.

We have 10 beds on our InPatient Unit and our nurses do their very best to make a stay with us as comfortable as possible. For example over Christmas we had an elderly couple who unusually were both staying with us, so we converted one of our rooms into a double room, decorated it with a Christmas tree and bought them both gifts to exchange on Christmas Day. It’s this personalised touch which makes care extra special.

The care we provide at St Luke’s always goes the extra mile; so this Valentine’s Day we are asking you to go the extra mile for us and hold a red themed dress down day to raise donations.

If you would like to take part please get in touch, you can contact us on 01606 555697 or community@stlukes-hospice.co.uk. We can support you with collection buckets, stickers and can even arrange a visit from Luke the Bear!

How you can support us this Valentine’s Day

  • Ask your colleagues or pupils to wear something red on Valentine’s Day and give a £1 donation
  • Organise a treat stall selling retro Love Hearts and Heart Throb sweets, or ask for homemade cake donations which you can sell to raise money
