Our eBay researchers help to raise the funds needed to provide care to local people when they need it most. Your role is to support the eBay Coordinators providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile to ensure that our eBay department is as successful as possible.

Title: Volunteer eBay Researcher

Reports to: eBay Coordinator

Hours required: Daily/ Weekly / Fortnightly (minimum 4 hours per shift)
Location: St Luke’s Warehouse, Pineapple Park, Road One, Winsford Industrial Estate

Some of the tasks that you will be doing include:

  • Researching items submitted for eBay sales via books and internet
  • Photographing and accurately listing items on eBay
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are carried out correctly
  • Assisting with the storage of items within the warehouse
  • Assisting with packaging and postage of sold items
  • Assisting with general housekeeping

We ask that you are free to volunteer with us for at least 4 hours a week. In return, we offer you the opportunity to develop new skills and receive on going support and training, as well as having a great time and knowing that you are making an important contribution to St Luke’s.

What we are looking for

  • Aged 16 and over
  • eBay or internet sales experience are not required as training will be provided
  • Computer literacy and confident internet usage are essential
  • Accurate language skills; spelling and grammar
  • Attention to detail
  • Inquisitive
  • An interest in retro, design , antiques or collectables (not essential)
  • Able to support the overall aims of St Luke’s and respect polices such as Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety
